NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center is the worlds portal to the stars. As the site for Space Shuttle launches,
the Space Center is responsible for preparing the vehicles for each mission, as well as managing the countdown
and performing end-of-mission recovery activities. The Center also coordinates unmanned launches that are used to
transport a variety of NASA payloads, including satellites as well as hardware and other supplies for the International
Space Station.
